How to deal with the gap between injection molds

How to deal with the gap between injection molds? The waste is essentially the inverse of the hole formed. In other words, the same direction is the opposite direction. After checking the scrap, you can judge whether the gap between the upper and lower injection molds is correct. If the gap is too large, the scrap will have a rough, bumpy and broken appearance and narrow bright band areas. The larger the gap, the larger the viewpoint of crack formation and the larger the area of the bright band. If the gap is too small, the scrap will take on a cracked appearance, with small viewpoints and wider bright band areas. Auto plastic mold

Injection mold

The gap between the injection molds is too large to create a larger bend and tear edge, resulting in a slightly better profile and thinner edge. Too small a gap between the injection molds can cause the strip to bend and tear slightly from large angles, then cause the cross-section to be roughly perpendicular to the appearance of the data. Aspiring waste should have reasonable chip angles and even bright bands. This minimizes punching pressure and creates a clean round hole with few burrs. From this point of view, increasing the gap between injection molds to extend the life of the mold will sacrifice the quality of the finished hole.

The gap between injection molds is related to the type and thickness of the stamped material. Unreasonable clearance will lead to the following problems: The clearance is too large, the burrs of the parts to be stamped are relatively large, and the stamping quality is poor. If the gap is too small, although the stamping quality is good, the die wear is serious, which greatly reduces the service life of the die and simply constitutes a punch crack. If the gap is too large or too small, it is easy to cause adhesion on the punching material, and strips will be generated during the punching process. If the gap is too small, a vacuum will simply form between the underside of the punch and the sheet, and the scrap will bounce back. Shenzhen plastic mold manufacturers
